Yay! The kind people at Worthing Library have made some space for my work to display from today (24th Jan) for about two weeks. I shall be taking it down around Thursday 5th Feb, so please visit if you are in the area.
Thanks to Bob and Bea for loaning their magnificent print.

Okay, so it’s too small to see anything properly, but take my word for it: the end result is good and I happily deliver it in person on friday morning.
Now I am off to edit a film about playing a form of blind football.

A few basic colour blocking stages are in place.

Tables and chairs mainly.

Lots and lots of them.

Oh go on - it’s worth at least mentioning this...

Almost finished!

Three changes for the final piece and it is then proof time.

Sussex Uni Yr2 (pt1): initial stages
03/11/08 09:00 Filed in: Sussex University
I am very happy to announce that a year later, I have been asked by the sweet people at Sussex Uni to continue with the second floor at Bramber House. Here was the finished prior job:

Initially I spent a few hours walking around and drawing a rough outline based loosely on the previous job. I then finished off with some reference images just in case I’d forgotten something. Look: some nice chairs.

Here is my working space! I have provided some labels just for your viewing pleasure.

The result of several redrafted versions of the original sketch resulted in this scanned black and white image.

I posted it to the Sussex people with a few of my own crude labels.

They were very thorough in providing some detailed feedback - there were about 23 details that came back.

I then used this to assist me in cleaning up the final image, which took a few hours.

I sent it and received three or four minimal details to correct.

It is a big deal to have this level of interaction at the start of the project because these things become almost impossible to change later on without substantially shifting the costs. What I most love about the people who commissioned this is that they walked around the actual floor and looked at every detail which helps massively because last week was the first time I had spent any time looking at the area.

Next: I start colouring.
